The Iceberg Calendar
Captain Navaron Tyme has been exploring the outermost regions Calendaria for decades, in search of a northwest trading route to the future. Last year he veered off course and ended up in the far east, in a land called Daysia. Finally, after some chronological meandering, he sighted the fabled Land of Frozen Time, glistening in the cold sunlight. It was an alluring sight, and he succumbed to the temptation to explore it, despite the perils of frozen time. Now he and his passengers, who thought they were headed for the beach, are frozen in until the Spring thaw. Then the days melt away, leaving the icebergs smooth as glass, ready for the dates of the next year to be carved into the ice by the inhabitants of this Arctic world.
