Each building in this town is named for one of its founding fathers. Theodore January, Alfonso February, Crazy Jack March, etc.

 

The local contractor, Harvey Smtwtfs (whose name no one could pronounce) carved his last name into the ledges of all the buildings he built.

 

One day it occurred to everybody they were all coincidentally living in a ready-made calendar. So the townfolk painted the days of the year on their windowshades.

 

Now no one has to wonder what day it is for longer than it takes to glance down the street.
